A different take on the dated brand identity of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The new corporate logo is a simplified, symbollic representation of NASA. It contains a geometric shape that is broken up into three pieces that are escaping a bounding circle.

Each piece of this shape is meant to represent the three mission directorates: Aeronautics, Human Exploration, and Science. The placement of each piece alludes to the mechanics of shuttle liftoff, where two solid rocket boosters are ejected while the shuttle ascends.

The logo is dynamic; each element of the shape contained in the circle is used separately to respresent each department of the administration.
